Bitvore achieves SOC 2 Type 1 compliance

Written by Bitvore content team | Jan 03, 2024

Bitvore, Corp has successfully completed a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type I Audit examination. The successful completion of this voluntary Audit illustrates Bitvore’s ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining a secure operating environment.

SOC 2 is a rigorous compliance standard developed by the AICPA that evaluates the effectiveness of an organization's controls and processes in ensuring the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data. Through the process, Bitvore’s internal controls for Information Security were examined, assessing compliance at a specific point in time.

SOC 2 Type I Audit is performed by a leading auditing firm, Prescient Assurance, and is intended to provide an understanding of the design and operating effectiveness of the service organization’s internal controls.

The Audit included an examination of Bitvore policies and procedures regarding network and systems security, software development lifecycle, separation of duties, access control, system availability, backup and disaster recovery, and other critical operational areas of the business.

Upon completion of the Audit, the Service Auditor provided a report with an unqualified opinion demonstrating that Bitvore’s policies, procedures and infrastructure meet or exceed the stringent SOC 2 criteria.

Bitvore Corp has already commenced efforts with Prescient Assurance on its SOC 2 Type 2 examination and is expected to complete in 2024.
